NYFW SS18
Hey guys! So this month has been insane so far. I attended fashion weeks in New York, London and Milan… and I am getting ready for Paris Fashion Week which is starting on Tuesday. So I thought it would be nice to publish a little recap and let’s start with New York! My favorite thing about New York fashion week? The city itself. I love New York and its energy, I’ve even been thinking about moving there for a few months actually. Then, it is amazing to come here after the Summer holidays, catch up with everyone from the industry ( blogger friends, photographers, designers, PR, buyers…), and kick off the season of the shows all together. I had the best time catching up with everyone and having fun at the shows and events.
Even though it is fashion week, I like to dress according to my own style. I used to dress really crazy the first years I started attending fashion shows. More prints and colors and a lot of mix and match. I wear more classic pieces now which I style with key items.
On my first day, I wore these denim overalls from Tibi which I combined to a white lace top from Grace and Mila, my new Dior heels and this huge Fendi bag I got from REBAG. An easy look I wore to a few shows and to the Reward Style party.
For this second look, I wore my favorite denim jacket from MM6, I adore the cut. I mixed it with a leather skirt, my favourite Gucci tee and this beautiful Gucci bag also from REBAG. I always adore mixing denim and leather together.
I wore the third look to the Victoria Beckham show and the DVF presentation, a long shirt tucked into a pair of Balenciaga jeans, my Dior heels and this gorgeous Chanel bag in red also from REBAG.
I wore this fourth outfit to Brooklyn on my last day in New York, we visited an art gallery down there. I love this dress from Off White, I am actually a huge fan of Off White. And I paired it to some boots from Balenciaga. Super comfy and edgy.
For this fifth look, I started with a blazer, I love this print for Fall, a leather skirt, YSL heels with gold details and the most gorgeous bag from Chanel. I love the pop of red. If I remember well I wore this outfit to the presentation of The Row which I adored, and the presentation of Alice & Olivia.
Last look, a silk dress from Boohoo combined to a simple black tee from Anine Bing and my Gucci bag. Super easy and chic thanks to the silk dress. What do you think?
My favorite shows of the week? Victoria Beckham is definitely on the top of my list. Her collection was chic yet wearable. I loved the ice cream palette colour: lavender, baby blue, pink… and the very feminine silhouettes. Then I would say The Row was another favorite. I’ve always admired the Olsen twins’ work. The cuts and fabrics are absolutely perfect. I also really enjoyed the Dian Von Furstenberg presentation. I don’t wear a lot of prints, but if I do, the pieces have to be from her. Finally, I was very impressed by the Fenty x Puma / Rihanna show. Who knew athleisure could be so sexy?
