ON MELROSE
Hey guys, how are you? So after two weeks spent in LA, I decided to put together some sort of a guide and share with you my picks for where to eat and drink in Los Angeles. Ready?
LUNCH
Café Gratitude: one thing I really like about LA is all the great healthy food places. And Café Gratitude is definitely on my top 5. Everything is organic and delicious. I recommend you to order one of their bowls filled with brown rice, quinoa, fresh veggies and other things. Their smoothies, cold pressed juices and raw cakes for dessert are amazing.
Gracias Madre: all vegan and organic Mexican food. Their kale and guacamole are absolutely amazing! The decor and the ambience is gorgeous, it’s a great place for lunch or dinner. The patio has an outdoor bar, benches and umbrellas. One of my favorite places to eat in LA, located in West Hollywood.
The Springs: I love their concept. The place is located downtown near the Art District. It’s a vegan restaurant which is also an organic juice bar/ wellness center / store/ yoga studio. It made me fall in love with raw vegan cuisine.
Sqirl: hip cafe, minimalist space, perfect for breakfast or lunch, all organic of course.
Alcove Cafe: american classics served in garden patios, an hipster crowd, well located in the middle of Los Feliz.
COFFEE ANC CAKES
Alfred Coffee: a very stylish coffee shop on Melrose place, well located, with the best latte of Los Angeles, located between all the designer stores and with the cutest coffee sleeves ever ” But first ___”. The place to stop in the morning for coffee or in the afternoon while shopping guys!
Joan’s on Third: healthy and tasty. Homemade coffee in a sophisticated interior.
California Donuts: do we really need to talk about it? I’m pretty sure you’ve seen thousands of photos on instagram already, their donuts are the cutest and it’s open 24/7. My favourite donut? The froot loops one!
Sprinkles: located in Beverly Hills by Rodeo Drive. They have the best cupcakes, cookies and ice creams, they even have a cupcake ATM! I don’t like ice cream, I know it’s strange, but I’m crazy about theirs. I recommend you the banana one with the vanilla waffle. It’s beyond delicious!
The Urth Caffe: organic coffees and fine teas. Great ambience.
JUICES
Lemonade: When in Venice beach, I always get a lemonade after I park my car to get to the beach. You can try the old fashioned lemonade, the cucumber-mint sugar free is also delicious! And an healthy option guys.
Kreation Juice: OK. Big crush on Kreation Juice. 100% raw, organic and gluten free. My favorites: #green 3 with romaine, spinach, celery, parsley, cucumber and kale. Also: glow, with green pepper, cucumber, apple and aloe vera. Check out their website full of tips for cleansing and clean eating!
LA Juice: a very stylish juice bar perfect for cold pressed juices, juice cleanses, skincare and wellness products. And the bottles are extra cute!
DINNER
Laurel Hardware: an hipster restaurant in former hardware store in west Hollywood serving US food and fancy cocktails. I recommend you the house cut fries and the lollipop sprouts with avocado mousse and pumpkin seeds.
Chateau Marmont: the restaurant from the legendary Sunset Boulevard hotel is definitely one of my favorites. It features an intimate indoor dinning area as well as a beautiful garden terrace. The food is delicious and the cocktails to die for. They have amazing truffle parmesan fries! Make sure to book a table in advance!
La Poubelle: a beautiful restaurant for a romantic dinning experience. They serve French bistro classics like oysters and snails.
Goldies: California inspired restaurant offering simple yet delicious dishes. The pasta are great and I love their kale salad.
Ink: a minimalist setting, the decor is a mix between industrial and modern and it serves excellent food.
Crop top: Tally Weijl
Denim overall: Boohoo
Bag: Hermès
Sunglasses: Dior
Sneakers: Adidas
Bandana: Allée du Foulard

Great tips! I always tend to overindulge when I am travelling.. when I came back from Mexico last year I took 5 kg during 15 days vacation, so it is nice when people are suggesting you also healthy places, as most of the guides are not doing it. And about Chateau Marmont.. always dreamt about having a birthday celebration there.. I will do it sooner or later 😛
